Goodbye glasses!

Rick became a new man today, he got LASIK eye surgery!
This was him before the surgery...... with glasses
After sporting sunglasses and feeling great after the valium they gave him:)I went with him and was expecting him to need help walking etc. , but he walked out alone and said he could already see better than he could before without his glasses, crazy! He did great, now he is going to take it easy this week and sleep a lot, where do I sign up for that?
Couldn't resist including a picture of Carson and Brynnli playing dressup, they both love it! Brynnli is so cute lately about wanting to do and have whatever Carson does, they are so fun!

All aboard!!

Rick went to the races this weekend, so I decided to take the kids to do something fun while he was gone. In the past (before kids) my mother and law and I would use this weekend to go shopping and out to eat, girls stuff. That is all in the past. Last year we attempted to take three babies to the mall (Rick's sis Trisha was in town) and decided we had to give up the shopping. So, it just so happened that Thomas the train was coming to town this weekend, so we decided to go see him. The kids had a great time, and so did we, just a little different than before. It all started when we took the kids to the zoo before the train ride and got lost (my fault of course...), and then the second we got on the train, Carson needed to go potty. He said, "mommy is there a bathroom on this train?" To which I said, no..... can you wait? NO." So with the 25 minute train ride starting at that moment, we had two options, a pullup and a water bottle. We chose the water bottle. We have used this method several times in the last year... this pic was taken right after Carson "used the bathroom" on the train.

The kids both loved the train ride.....

About five minutes later Brynnli zonked out on my shoulder.

They also had fun activities for the kids like bubble blowing, playdough, and toy trains.

And of course, we had to meet Sir Top M. Hat, who was very friendly, and so was Carson.
Who needs the mall when you can get lost at the zoo, ride a toy train, and pee in a water bottle?

Visiting Daddy

Rick has been gone a lot lately working and so I thought we would take a little trip to visit Rick at the station today. It ended up taking a little longer than expected since I got lost three times on the way there (I know not suprising to those who know me), but it was worth it. We had a blast!

The cutest thing was that when we got home all Carson wanted to do was play with his fire trucks and have them go on calls to accidents etc. He is such a funny kid.

Happy 3rd Birthday Carson!

Even though this is how I still picture him.....
I am now the mom of a three year old, how crazy! Today was Carson's birthday and we had a blast with him! I am exhausted and will post more pics tomorrow but wanted to put a few up. We got Carson a new bike from us and he had fun riding it around tonight, he looked so big! This afternoon we had a party for him at our house in the backyard with a bunch of his friends and their parents. Here's a few of the little kiddos, Carson brought them all in the kitchen to show them his cake. I had to try to get a few pics of these guys together, they are so cute! I had to perform craziness behind Rick to get them to smile, but it was worth it!

Carson is such a fun boy, we played all day and put Brynnli to bed and let him stay up "late" with us tonight playing games, and blocks, and watching a movie. He loved it. I almost didn't want him to go to bed because that really meant he was officially a big boy. I really don't want him to grow up anymore. Carson we love you!
