My Disney Birthday

Isn't it every 28 year old's dream to spend their birthday at Disneyworld? Actually, yes, I wouldn't have wanted to have been anywhere else this year than with Rick and the kids at Disney (ok, maybe Hawaii.....or with my whole family in Boise) We have really taken advantage of the getting in free on your birthday thing this year!

I want to apologize ahead of time for all the pictures, I realized halfway in I should've just done a slideshow, but oh well!

The kids LOVED the characters, but in totally different ways. Carson LOVED everything about them, seeing them, hugging them, etc. Brynnli loved the characters and waved and smiled.... until she actually got near them, then she clung to me for dear life! This is why, even though we finally have one child who will sit with the characters, we are still in most of the pictures.

While Brynnli was napping Rick and I took turns taking Carson on the "big kid" rides that Brynnli couldn't go on. Carson and I flew in an airplane roller coaster, which Carson loved

But not as much as he loved driving a racecar with daddy. He was soo excited, I was in the perfect spot to take a picture until I realized Rick had the camera, so Rick took this one of himself:)

When we were at Disney last time we stole a secret from a family in front of us in line who had brought lollipops for their kids to eat while they waited in line for the rides, so here's our kids waiting in line with their lollipops. On a side note, the longest we waited was maybe 20 minutes thanks to my birthday fastpass!!
Brynnli's favorite spot was the park and splash area where she got totally soaked, and so did her lollipop! Carson was more careful, but thankfully I had a few changes of clothes for her!

Carson danced with the characters during the street parade

And then our kids both crashed during the fireworks. It was a really great birthday!
We decided instead of going to another park the next day to go to Downtown Disney where we visited Legoland, and Carson got to make and race a lego racecar
Brynnli carried her lego creation all over the place with her, she was very proud of it and even made a run for it with it.Carson loved Mickey, and for some reason became obsessed with Buzz lightyear while we were at Disney (even though he has only seen Toy story once...and hated the Buzz ride) and sent us on a wild chase for a Buzz Lightyear toy. All the ones at Disney were too lame or advanced for him, so we are still combing the local toy stores....
Since we couldn't find him a Buzz lightyear and we had already bought Brynnli a Minnie mouse doll she couldn't say goodbye to, we got Carson this little Mickey train, which he drove EVERYWHERE that whole day. On the water playground at Downtown Disney, at the temple grounds, in McDonalds, and the whole 3 hours home all he could talk about was how he needed to drive it on his tracks when he got home. Crazy kid. After Downtown Disney while the kids napped Rick went to the temple and I hungout (since last month I went by myself). When they wokeup we walked around, and found the tiny one spot of shade on the grounds to sit in. The kids had a blast. My favorite comment from this was when we were sitting at the temple and a rescue truck rode by and Carson said, "mommy Jesus is leaving on a call!" I wasn't sure how to explain that one to him:)

Our Easter Week

I feel like we spent the whole week celebrating Easter, but these pictures are going to go backwards in time, because I"m a lazy blogger. Here's some from today we took before/after church....
The funniest part was when we sat down in church today and our friends boys had the same outfit on as Carson, everyone was like, did you guys plan that?

Carson and Brynnli were really excited about the Easter bunny who was very delayed in coming this morning because we had to wait for daddy who got home from work late this morning, they didn't get much candy, mostly toys, but they went straight for it. Earlier this week we had an Easter themed family home evening, I was so impressed with how interested Carson was in the story of Easter, but then we had an Easter egg hunt and dyed eggs, which the kids LOVED. This was the before:
After:I guess BRynnli thought she was supposed to dye herself instead of the egg
And Carson tried to eat the eggs, let me tell how how amazing our house smelled that night, yuck!
Yesterday morning our church had an Easter egg hunt, which was a big hit.
We waited in line at the mall for over an hour so that Carson could sit on the Easter bunny's lap. I knew that this would happen since it was the day before Easter, but Carson was so excited about it, and I was too busy this week to take him earlier.

Needless to say, BRynnli freaked out and wanted nothing to do with the bunny, who I have to say was kinda lame, and Carson LOVED it, but wouldn't smile or look at me taking a picture of him (illegally since you are supposed to buy theirs).

Hope you all had a great Easter celebration, despite all our silly celebrations we are thankful for the real reason we celebrate Easter!

Cousins

Last week cousin Kaitlyn came to visit and the kids had so much fun playing with her! Grandpa and Grandma T. took TONS of pictures of the three kids, but it is sooo hard to get three kids all looking at once!We did lots of fun things like going to the county fair and playing at the park a lot!
We had a picnic at the park this one day and Brynnli was so funny walking around with this watermelon, or well the seven or eight pieces she ate while we were there....

And Carson was being cute and smiley for the camera, which NEVER happens
I am so glad that the kids have cousins (2 and one on the way, all girls) to play with!
